A book on old-fashioned dancing by Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford would interest such a community of decent folk. Homeopathic medicine is practical for people who reject urban living. But the nation they live in will not let them just drop out of society and disappear into the mountains of America's North-West or South-East.
